Our older babies have their own self-contained unit within the converted barn building that they share with our Toddlers.

We can care for up to 12 older babies in this room. The required staffing ratio for children under 2 years of age is 1 member of staff per 3 babies/children. This ratio is always met and often exceeded.

In addition, there is always at least 1 member of staff qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with at least two years’ experience in caring for babies and children under the age of two present in the Unit. The room has carpeted and hard floor sections, providing a flexible space that supports the learning and development of these babies.

The older baby unit has direct access to the outdoor play area that includes an all weather play surface and a large, grassed garden with a mini park.
