Our Baby Unit is divided into two sections to allow us to meet the different needs of very young babies and those approaching toddlerhood.

We can care for up to ten babies in our Young Baby Unit. The required staffing ratio for children under 2 years of age is 1 member of staff per 3 babies/children. This ratio is always met and often exceeded. In addition, there is always at least 1 member of staff qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with at least two years’ experience in caring for babies and children under the age of two present in the Unit.

The Young Baby Unit is self-contained, but the accommodation is flexible to allow the babies to have both quiet time and also to watch and enjoy the activities of the older children. It has its own self-contained kitchen and outdoor play area.
